Tamara is a commercial litigator known for her calm, strategic and meticulous approach to complex disputes. She believes that behind every case is a client with a business to run, and she is committed to guiding clients towards clear, commercially sensible outcomes, whether through the courts, arbitration or negotiated settlement.
Tamara acts for corporates, commercial landlords, developers, major chain tenants and high-net-worth individuals across the full spectrum of commercial disputes: contractual claims, shareholder disputes, tenancy litigation, employment disputes, defamation, and the enforcement of foreign judgments in the Hong Kong courts, including winding-up proceedings. She independently conducts complex matters from start to finish, shaping case strategy, managing counsel teams and supervising junior lawyers, and has acted at partner level against first-tier opposing firms.
Construction disputes are a particular specialism. Tamara has acted for employers, contractors and subcontractors in arbitrations and litigation arising from major infrastructure and development projects, and has advised on adjudication and tender matters for private developers, government departments and public bodies.
Tamara is quadruple-qualified, admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, England & Wales and Ireland, and qualified to practise as a Greater Bay Area Lawyer in Mainland China. After graduating from the University of Hong Kong, she pursued her legal studies in England and Germany, earning a Master of Laws in European Union Law from the University of Bonn, before completing the PCLL at City University of Hong Kong. She trained at an international law firm, later practised in the construction team of a leading Hong Kong firm, and served as Legal Counsel at Hang Lung Properties before joining Tonys Lawyers.
A committed advocate of alternative dispute resolution, Tamara is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, an accredited adjudicator and member of the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Adjudicators, and a member of the HKIAC List of Tribunal Secretaries. She completed a year-long pupillage with a prominent Chartered Arbitrator sitting as sole arbitrator, working in practice as part of the tribunal. She has also sat as an arbitrator in the Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the FIAMC-CIETAC Moot Arbitration Competition.
Tamara received the Individual Gold Award (2024) and Individual Silver Award (2025) under the Law Society of Hong Kong's Pro Bono and Community Service Recognition Programme, and a Special Award under the Recognition Scheme for Provision of Pro Bono Legal Services of the Chief Secretary for Administration's Office of the HKSAR Government. She also serves as a member of the Law Society's Pro Bono Committee.
Tamara is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and conducts proceedings and drafts in both English and Chinese.
